Hopetoun House and Grounds

Outlander fans must see!

Hopetoun House, often referred to as Scotland’s Finest Stately Home, is a five-star Visitor Attraction located in South Queensferry. It gained popularity as a filming location in the Outlander TV series, appearing in Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 7. As you approach Hopetoun House, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the impressive main facade. Designed by William Bruce and later altered and extended by William Adam, the house stands as one of the finest examples of 18th-century architecture in Britain.

Step inside Hopetoun House to explore its magnificent interiors, which have remained virtually unchanged for three centuries. Reflecting the elegance of the Georgian era, the house is adorned with the best period furniture, paintings, tapestries, and clocks.
